The Councillors are elected every four years, three representing St Ippolyts north ward and five representing St Ippolyts south ward. The next election is in 2012. Each year the councillors choose a Chairman and Vice Chairman from amongst their number.
Every year there is a Parish Meeting when all electors have the opportunity to express their views on Parish matters. The Parish Council meets every month (except August and December) and all electors are most welcome to attend.
In addition, every four years a Parish Hall representative is appointed.
